You can now enjoy great-tasting, healthy recipes that are both stimulating and mood/energy lifting especially if you are a lover of hot chocolate drink. Below are some healthy recipes that you can follow:
Basic Hot Chocolate Recipe
500ml Hot Tea base (tea bags, gynostemma, gogi berries, cinnamon sticks, etc)
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1-2 tablespoons raw organic honey (or stevia to taste)
1 tablespoon coconut oil and/or cacao butter (cacao butter is optional)
Pinch of sea salt
Heat the water until it is at a low boil.
Pour the hot water over your tea leaves or tea bags and steep for 10 minutes.
If you are using Gogi berries and/ or cinnamon sticks, bring the water to low boil, then add in 2 tablespoons of organic Gogi berries and /or 6 Ceylon cinnamon sticks and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Strain tea and place in blender. Blend the tea and the oils first to emulsify the oils. Add remaining ingredients and blend it on high for 30 seconds.
Pour into a mug and sprinkle with a small amount of cacao powder.
Optional Ingredients You Can Add to Your Healthy Recipes
1 tablespoon Maca powder
½ – 1 tsp shilajit powder
½ tsp of Mucuna
(You can also use any variation and combination of Reishi, Cordyceps, Ho Shou Wu concentrated herbal extract)
2 tablespoons nut milk or organic cream
You can blend any of these additional ingredients in and adjust the cacao powder and sweeteners to taste. Pour into a mug or glass and enjoy!
